The Prince Arthur, Fleet

I went to Prince Arthur 30th March 2011 at 1.30pm with a friend and my son. my son had a half day from school and thought it would be nice to have lunch at the Prince Arthur. I mentioned to the staff that my son was with me would that be ok. However the member of staff wasn not overjoyed by my sons presence and said we could stay for a couple of drinks (soft) as we are dining in. I had already noticed the sign on the door so was aware that we needed to order food. The frostiness of the Duty manager was so apparent that we decided not to eat their but go to the Oatsheaf instead. I am not sure why we received such a reception. My son was well behaved for a change!! In fact there were a group of Mums with young babys who were all crying and although there level of wailing did begin to become noticable it was not mentioned. i have visited this pub in the evening and have always found it ok. Let's try another time, we as adults just wanted to chat and spend time together.
