The Market House, Bridport

Terrible service, terrible food, rude staff! The dessert we ordered was close to �5.00 a slice, you can buy a whole cake from Aldi for �1.90!!!!!!!!! This was an Aldi gateau. The main waitress has a an agressive attitude and is very stern and never seems to wear a smile! One of our meals were undercooked with blood coming from the chicken...not good! :( The cavery looked like it had seen better days. We as a family think the food and drink are over priced and even Weatherspoons beats this place! Stay well away if you are even thinking of going....They will just take your money and give you nothing, not a smile, service or even decent food.

The George, West Bay

WORST PUB WE HAVE EVER BEEN TO!!!!!!

I say worst pub, but meant only in a service capacity. The pub itself is located in the beautifully picturesque harbour of West Bay in Bridport. Under the correct management this place could be in the top 10 in the entire country.

However, the landlord is a vile pig that was rude to my wife and shouted at other customers in the dining area, simply because we had the audacity to question his cold vegetables and for waiting and hour and a half for our food.

Not only this, the red faced neanderthal was more incapacitated than most of the customers. I cannot believe that someone like this is allowed to run and establishment like this and get away with it. I can only guess that his entire trade is toursists and people who would never go back there, under the current management anyway.

It was such a shame as what was a lovely day by the seaside was ruined by this drunken bigot. His snarling wife was no better and had the personality of a venomous snake.

I urge anyone contemplating visting Bridport to NOT GO TO THIS PUB. We did however, go to the Crown which is a 10 min walk afterwards and were very pleased with both the service and the food.
