We come to the Midlands once or twice a year and just love the Black Country Boozer.Last time we were in here, I ordered a pint and a half and sat down; within seconds some woman was trying to sell us raffle tickets, where I tried to explain that we weren't staying, but she persisted. I had to be rather firm, then we were left alone. Next minute this bloke with a heavy foreign accent was holding out a dish asking for money. I explained that I had paid for the beer, and therefore, owed no money. He pushed the dish at us a again, saying it was for the band. I said," what band", we'd only just arrived and was leaving soon, With that we left , never to return. I just wondered if anything has changed.
