The King Harold, Leyton

Has reopened as the Leyton Star, by the same people behind the Star of Bethnal Green and the Star of King's Cross. Apparently the council refused the developers request to turn into flats, insisting that the ground floor must remain a pub. Thanks LBoWF.

The King Edward VII, Stratford

I come here every other month or so and haven't been victim of any of the problems mentioned. Earlier this year when I visited the upstairs bar was being used for a private party, I didn't notice any loud music but perhaps that started later. On my last visit, Wednesday afternoon, the beer was good, the service was excellent, the food a bit overpriced but very tasty and a pleasent time was had.

Haven't found a better pub in E15 so far.
