The Thornbury Castle, Marylebone

Horrible place this one. Went here for a few beers and some food last night with a couple of friends - first pub we found near Marylebone. Firstly had an atmosphere that I would rate less than zero. �4 for a pint of Heineken in a shabby 'family' pub? We then ordered some food which took over half an hour to arrive but we ended up wishing it never came at all. We ordered Sausage and Mash (�9), Nachos (�7) and their specialty burger (�8). When the food finally arrived, it was disgusting. There was so little actual meat in the sausages (white fat is all I could see), the burger was burnt and surprisingly didn't come with chips/wedges, the nachos and chili was tiny and out of a packet - the menu's claim to be serve only home-made food was a blatant lie. I gently mentioned my disappointment to the waiter, specifically the meat content in the sausages - to which he rudely assured me they were 100% meat! OK then. We promptly left. I really would advise anyone to avoid this place like the plague.
