Another true local that boasts 14 real ales served from gravity behind the bar and a further 7 handpumps. The pub is run by wolf brewery with 4 wolff beers available and one always at £2.50. Oakham ales always available which is good for me as they are my favourite. Nicely priced only 15 mins walk from the city.
Always a warm welcome from the staff and a exceptional team in Dougie, Bernie & Simon who obviously know how to keep a decent pint.

Folk band every tuesday night, monthly quiz night on monday night. A selection of £2 a pint on wednesdays. You can order a takeaway and the pub provides plated and cutlery. Real pub fire in winter and annual beer fest in summer selling over 70 ales in a week!

The Ribs of Beef, Norwich

Always visited the ribs when visiting norwich. I moved to norwich 4 years ago and the ribs has and will always be one of my favourite locals. It is in a lovely location by the river (great to sit on the jetty in the summer) offering great choice and quality real ale (9 handpumps) supporting local breweries Wolf Golden Jackal only £2.40 a pint excellent value, the ribs also boasts a fine selection of wines,spirits and lager. The food is locally sourced and reasonably priced. The scotch eggs are homemade and are amazing!!
The pub is run by an enthusactic landlord & landlady in roger & anthea who have been in charge for over 25 years, who have a great set of staff and regulars. Definatly a city local that deserves to be a good beer guide regular! Well worth a visit.
