Profile information

I take people all around the UK's countryside on Hill and Rock Climbing courses - see www.will4adventure.com - all of which are based near a local pub. I love my ale it must be said - an integral part of all good weekends out on the sticks!

This pub serves legendary food - and the beer's not half bad either! (Including two great Belgian beers). Heck the service isn't exactly in your face smiles - but who cares when the scoff's this good - and it even caters for vegans! Always had a great night here when visiting this area. If only all pubs could serve food this good.

I must say I have always enjoyed my beer here - it is good ale in a great looking pub. Food has always been very dissapointing though and a major let down. Service is always good. I understand that it's being refurbished at the moment (Feb 2006) - so no doubt another great English pub to the corporate slaughter!

I agree - boring and characterless and low on good service. I have had clients stay here from time to time when I run my courses from this area - and they have always complained about the poor service and cold rooms (in the winter).
