The Jolly Sailor, Macclesfield

Four of us visited the Jolly Sailor on Saturday 3rd November as part of a tour of Macclesfield. This was a pub that was not on our list but was recommended by two local bar staff/managers in the town.

Large open single space but with nooks that allow an intimate get together for groups. Various forms of seating and at least one real fire at 19:00 ish which was welcome. Comfortable sitting on sofas for my group by the fire. Very comfortable and relaxed.

Very eclectic Jazz/bohemian/indie feel pub, youngish feel but ideal for all ages.

Quite when we were in but it was Early Doors. I am pretty sure it probably does a good trade with the young indie hipsters on a weekend evening. It wasn't my round so not sure of the beer prices but we all noted that in general that Macc was cheaper than a lot of our home (Stoke-on-Trent) "real" pubs.

Recommended and can't wait to go again.
