The Okeover Arms, Mappleton

Stopped for a pint whilst on a bike ride around the peak recently. Great beer, from a choice of four real ales I think it was, inc a couple I'd not come across before. What particularly impresses me is this was probably the fourth time we've stopped here over the last couple of years and it's been this good every time.

The Three Horseshoes, Newport

Thoroughly agree with everything said in the previous review. We enjoyed excellent pints of Tribute and Shropshire Gold this weekend!

Slightly misleading to have it listed under Newport. Sambrook is only a mile off the A41 if you're passing....

The Wharf Inn, Shebdon

As a fan of Six Bells beers I had no problem at all this weekend with just being offered a gorgeous pint of Cloud Nine. Unless you can shift the volume I'd rather a pub offers a limited range of beers but keeps them well, as they have done every time I've been in the Wharf. They also had Westons Old Rosie cider on offer.

I can also recommend the huge thick gammon and double egg, their portions are certainly on the generous side!
