Moon On The Square, Northampton

Typical Wetherspoons. Do you know why their beer is so cheap? They buy it just before it's best before date that's why. Been here several times. Last time they had four real ales, three had run out the other was undrinkable. Haven't been since. Most Wetherspoon pubs are like this. Cheap? Yes. A decent drink? A toss up.

The Waters Green Tavern, Macclesfield

From the outside this place looks like it's been closed for years but don't let the appearance fool you. Inside you are spoilt for choice. Six (I think) real ales, all well looked after, didn't know where to start. Excellent home-made food as well. No microwaved rubbish here. Only compliant that place is shut between 4 and 7.

With pubs like these who would even think about going into Wetherspoons?
