JJ Moons, Tooting

It's probably the worst pub in the JD Wetherspoon Chain, and yet at the same time, from a beer perspective at least, it's probably the *best* pub in Tooting!

Food for thought, I'm sure you'll agree.

The Rose and Crown, Ipswich

You won't find better beer on the West side of Ipswich, particularly if you like darker beers.

With a varied, changing selection, Nigel always has something interesting on, most of it from smaller local breweries, usually in uncommonly good condition.

This pub highlights just how fantastic real ale can taste, given due care and attention.

The Mulberry Tree, Ipswich

Twas a very fine pub for a few years, now reduced to mediocrity at best!

When Ady and Karen left to concentrate on The Dove, they effectively consigned the Milestone to a ignoble future.

Within days the new owners had closed the taproom, removed several handpumps, stripped the pub of it's quirky decor, and removed all traces of interesting beer. Sometimes they don't even have any real ale at all these days.

The entertainment isn't what it used to be either, and the Suffolk Songwriters open mic night moved on in early 2007.
