The Annexe Inn, Bristol

Although this place is one step back from the main road, its worth seeking out. The beers on tap are well kept and there is a variety (6 when i visited) on offer. Food is good pub quality and inexpensive. As is the beer compared to the main strip. The bar staff were helpful and friendly. Its probably not aimed at families, as the seating and arrangement of the bar and TVs are couples and fours. But great for a session on a saturday or sunday lunchtime.

The Robin Hood's Retreat, Bishopston

Very well kept beer. Plenty to choose from and good (but not cheap) food of gastro quality. The beers change but when i visited recently there was Wye valley HPA, which was outstanding. Will return.

The Jack Horner, Tottenham Court Road

Enjoyed a few beers here, particularly the seasonal wild river. But i agree with the the post below. Resteved tables? In a pretty average pub with ok but not gastro food? WTF? Never seen this in other Fullers pubs. Won't return until they abandon this policy - Fullers is pretty standard in London so lots of alternatives available within a few minutes. The place is too tiny to have reserved tables for hours beforehand when there is serious drinking to be done.
