The Montgomery Of Alamein, Hampton Magna

Someone from my cricket team now runs this pub with his partner and they appear to be making a good go of it and fitting in well. There are two real ales available, Greene King and Adnams, so I've no complaints there and they serve a good choice of meals at competitive prices. All in all, not a bad place.

The Fox and Hounds, Warminster

I visited this pub last September whilst in Warminster for Heritage Weekend and found it excellent. Most of the locals were drinking real cider which was being sold at �1.50 a pint (and who can blame them) but being a real ale man I went for the Warminster Warrior, which although a less competitve �2.20, was superb. Certainly I shall call again when next in the area.
