Cricketers Arms, Ockley

I drank in this pub regularly in the late 60s and seventies when it was run by Ray Figg a friend of ollies, there are pictures in the pub of him, great times with me being rescued by ollie while being rather ill in the outside toilets as they where then, ollie did loads for local charities . I am surprised it doesnt use him as a theme in these difficult trading times! cut down the hedging in the front so you can see the pub would help.I drive past at night and the sign isnt even lit up! and its pitch black on that road no street lighting at all! loads of stories about this old pub, ollie hiding up the inglenook chimney( fire still lit) to escape local land owner ( over his daughter). its got history that should be used to its advantage!.
