The Boatman, Guildford

We met friends here for a drink and something to eat on Thursday afternoon. It was a lovely sunny day and the setting beside the canal was great. However, the food was not good. Three of our meals said they came with "salad". All that was on the plate was a few lettuce leaves and one cherry tomato! This is not what I expect from a salad. The cajun chicken I had was tiny and without any real taste and costing over �10 was very disappointing. This is the third time we have been disappointed in the food at this pub. We would go back for a drink but would not consider eating here again as the food is very poor and very overpriced for what you get.
