The Great Eastern, Isle of Dogs
About to re-open soon as The Great Eastern. Glad the pub is being kept open but why change the name. The Watermans Arms is what it's called but some dimwit at the brewery marketing deems it not suitable! Its also going to have a coffee lounge and have hostel type accomodation. I only hope the actual pub bit is OK and that you can still get a decent roast dinner for under �8.00 like before.

The Resolute, Poplar
Who on earth sactioned the sale of the pub and gave planning consent to the flats is the lowest form of human life. A person with no soul who probably thinks being near a tesco metro and canary wharf is the greatest thing in the world. Poplar used to have character and this was a great pub and I'm very angry indeed.
