The Eagle, Hoxton

oh dear, what a terrible place. First pint of Pride cloudy - had to give it back, end of barrel, so Pride was off. Ever heard of changing the barrel? Extremely unfriendly bar staff, who seemed to be running a competition to see who could fill the pint up least. Then got angry when it was pointed out! Gets ridiculously crowded with office lemmings so even getting to the gents becomes an obstacle course. I will never set foot in this pub ever again.

The Wheatsheaf, Shedfield

When we rediscovered this pub a couple of years ago, as we walked in, the barmaid was chopping sprouts on the bar ...... I knew this was the pub for me! Beer quality is 10/10 and there is always a mouth watering selection on tap. Open fire on cold days, great beer garden out back, and good parking opposite if required. Its even fun sitting out front by the main road catching the evening sun!
