The Cat and Mutton, Hackney

Went on 1st October 2007 with 11 friends. Several of us ordered food which didn't arrive for one hour and 10 minutes, so we gave up and cancelled the order.

About half an hour later a fifty pound 'cancellation' bill (approx 25% of the original meal we ordered) came to the table, which we were told we'd have to pay as orders can't be cancelled.

Big argument ensues, voices raised, 'duty manager' called and after 20 minutes we're being threatened in various ways including 'calling our card issuers' (one of us had left a card behind the bar for drinks).

Eventually we left without paying. Needless to say all concerned are recommending none of our friends visit the place.
