The Rose and Crown, Askham Richard

Took my fiance's father to this place a few weeks ago one summers eve(he is very hard to please but he loved this place)it wasnt too busy but the weather was beautiful so we sat outside, we sat facing the duck pond across the road and ordered some food too.
The food was gorgeous I had rump steak which was perfect and complimented the beer, the staff were very helpful and the landlord brought out a bowl of water for our dog too!!!

The thing though that made our evening was watching the ducks and ducklings constantly crossing the road stopping the cars(I did mention to landlord he should put duck on menu!!!!)

In all a perfect place to sit outside on a summer evening!!1

The Angel Inn, Leeds

sams are so good at making a new pub look like its been there for years!! why can't the big faceless chains do this, only downside for this pub is it's rather hard to find if your'e not local, other than that its the usual good priced sams ale house.
