The Newcastle Packet Inn, Scarborough

No choice of beer due to being tied to a multi national supplier, miserable staff, landlady is always asleep upstairs, plus they go back on their word when booking bands without reasonable notice or excuses. Spend your time and money elsewhere.

Tan Hill Inn, Keld

This has got to be one of the most quirky pubs in the UK, not only is it supposedly the highest Pub in England, it's about 10 miles from all other civilisation, apart from that, don't be surprised to see sheep and ducklings wandering about in the bar and a Landlady who makes Chubby Brown sound like a playschool teacher. A nice pint is served though and after an overnight stay the place kind of grows on you. (remember to take your ear plugs if easily offended)

Valley, Scarborough

Super little Real Ale pub independantely run by John & Linda, also Cider pub of the year last year and seller of many belgian beers too, too many beers to mention but a fabulous selection and always changing, regular beer festivals through the winter months, well worth a visit.
