The Saracens Head, Shirley

I went to this pub with a friend who partner died and they decided to have an informal wake at this pub on 5th December.

At first impressions the venue is beautiful with character and the menu looked sophiscated. Bar staff accommodating and helpful. Good choice of wine

However, I was disappointed with my meal. I did not complain as my friend was going through a difficult time.

I had the veggie option which states in the menu a cauliflower cheese mash with peas, savoy carrots and potatoes with mash. I did not get any cauliflower cheese mash nor any peas. The gravy was forgotten Iwhich I did ask for and got) and the meal was not very hot. It was disappointing as the first impressions were excellent.

Also the toilets needs to be upgraded as they not very nice.
