where have the proper managers gone? Jackie and Roger have dissapeared and so has the charm of the pub!! will not be going back again, great shame, the pub has gone downhill.

Went into The Whit on Saturday evening & what a change in the atmosphere from our last visit several months ago.
The new couple that are running the pub (Jackie & Roger), proved to be a little different to recent managers, they certainly were a breath of fresh air, with their friendly welcome and made us feel at home with their cheerfull banter.
A full range of 8 ales were available, three of which I tried and were excellent especially the Bath Golden Hare. The menu, although limited at present, was excellent value. My wife tried the homemade sweet & sour chicken and couldn't praise it enough. We would definately recommend a visit to the pub for a pleasant, friendly evening.
