The Junction Hotel, Dorchester

The is a really nice pub, but when ever I go in there I'm already off my face!!! It's very busy over the weekend and it's a nice place to have an afternoon drink if you prefer and you don't have to walk far for a taxi!!! They have music, karaoke (I think) and the last time I was there I'm sure there was a quiz night going on!! (Oh the joys of getting drunk, you can't remember much!)

The Cornwall Hotel, Dorchester

I have been going to the Cornwall Hotel (now named the Gurkha Inn) for the last 3 or 4 years and I love it in there. The new owners aren't English but are very pleasant and are very welcoming. The locals are all wonderful (as long as you are on their good side as with most people) and we are all one big happy family. There is karaoke every Friday night hosted by a wonderful bloke called Andy, there is a wide screen TV for the footie (roll on World Cup!), pool table and we now have pool teams in the Winter and Summer leagues, get live bands in there sometimes and the food is to die for (if curry is your thing that is!) I recommend people to this pub for fun, laughs and a general good time.
