The Beech Tree, Hazlemere

DO NOT eat at this pub. Service was awful, we waited 40 minetes before we decided to leave and go somewhere else. The pub itself is shabby and old/ broken. People who came in after us had finished their meals and left without us even beginning ours. It was clear on the barmaids face that we had been forgotten about- she made up an excuse that the pasta was taking too long to cook. pasta? really?. The pub was almost empty- only 2 other groups were dining there which now makes sense after receiving such bad service we will certainly not be returning. Overall the place was tacky and disappointing. Requires serious work on furnishing, service skills and general image. Car park offers a car wash service, frankly i found the men intimidating and threatening. They really shouldn't employ bar staff with short term memory loss. I hope the landlord reads this as something really needs to be done.
