The Marquis Of Westminster, Victoria

I should add the reason I know about the comings and goings and timings so well is that I have been using the place regularly ever since Youngs/Charlie Wells started to first mess around with the Buckingham in Petty France, and then completely ruin what was a lovely old proper pub.

The Cardinal, Victoria

It's popularity has to be down to the price of some decent Sam Smith's products. It's a Marmite boozer. You'll either love it's dark, brooding interior, worn carpets and what look like smoke stained high ceilings - or hate it. The lighting levels are so low it's hard to be sure.
Euro staff have gradually replaced Antipodeans. On my last visit prior to amateur fortnight the incumbent group could not master the art of multi-tasking; ie talking among themselves, serving customers and clearly empty glasses off a grubby beer-stained bar at the same time.
On a positive note, Sam's Stout was stunning!

The Jugged Hare, Pimlico

A former bank whose vaults provide for deep cellars. Popular venue that keeps a pristine range of Fullers beers, plus a guest (Gales HSB was a recent absolute winner), served by a cheery guv'nor and pleasent efficient Euro staff.
Food looks like the brewery's standard fare which on the "take it or leave it" stakes, I can happily leave, although there's seemingly always plenty of takers for it. But it is the beer you come for here, and your first visit is unlikely to be your only visit.
