I am an American living in South Carolina who relishes his experiences in British pubs. I am not much of a pub rover. On all my visits to Britain, I have chosen a local pub and stuck with it, mostly with great results. The decision is never too difficult given my love of Samuel Smith's establishments.

This is a great pub if you are an avid Samuel Smith's drinker like myself. I also LIKE the fact that they are without an entertainment license. I have been in many places where the conversation was killed by music--not to say that I don't appreciate music, I just like a bit of meaningful human interaction every now and then.
