Sadly I can confirm a set date now for the Pubs Last Day:

Saturday 19th March 2011

Its Heartbreaking to say Goodbye to the old place after so long but we aim to see the last day out with a bang!.
Everyone is welcome back regardless, no probs at all,
(we still cater to making each visit as laid-back & comfortable for you as we can).

The Oakdale has always been far more than just a Pub, by means of a home for All of Us & the surrounding community, a social key to the surrounding area.

We've had some great years since 2003 & memorable times that wont be forgotten.

Our Heart-felt thanks to everyone who supported the pub for so long, & We're Sorry we cant go on any longer but we lasted as long as we could before the final developers plans were recently made official.

Its been a pleasure to serve, meet & socialise with everyone & to our regulars we found ourselves more than just customers on the other side of the bar,..but a second family that we've all come to know & love.
It will be upsetting to say goodbye to so many faces that are as close to us as blood now, let alone having to lose the Pub that sociably became a landmark home for everyone.

Well we're open everyday til' our last for buisiness as usual & will still be hosting our regular thursday evening quiz night at approx:@ 8.15pm weekly ~ Still Free To Enter!
Cash Prizes for top 3 & worth a Laugh & a Real Garden Fire.
The Lizards are Still Very Friendly.
Relaxed as ever (not lowering standards now).
I dont know what else to say.....

No future plans set out for any of us as yet here but we'll advise if anything changes.

(mr.toes.5_ ~ I remember your disgust to people enjoying themselves to loudly neart your table but Socialising with friends in a pub is what most people arrange to meet there for & its half the reason for coming out?....maybe you should try it!...with friends!)
