The Mines Tavern, Laxey

Sheltered here for a Sunday lunchtime meal and pint while it chucked it down outside. Went with the kids and although they are not allowed in the bar area there is a side lounge which we were directed to, and also a covered outside seating area where you can watch the trams. It's right by the tram stop so if you are doing Laxey Wheel or Snaefell railway or just riding the trams, it's an ideal stop off. Food was good, reasonably priced and served quickly.

The Creek Inn, Peel

Stayed at the Peel campsite with the kids and visited this pub twice, as it was ideal for eating out with the family, 8 real ales on hand pump, half of which had changed our second visit, and only a 10 minute walk back to the tent. Food was good, served quickly, not too pricey, you need to get there early for food at busy times or book a table in advance. The pub has an outside seating area at the front in.a lovely location looking onto the harbour.
