The Wheatsheaf, Slough

For the regulars I was thinking we could get a group together to go to Thorpe Park for the day. If anyone interested let's try and get it sorted out!More of a lads day out for those not scared of going on any rides!

Right, Back to make a couple of comments. It's a shame most of the regulars do not comment on here as it would give a better idea of what they thought of the Wheatsheaf.

I've got to say that Stuart had been amazing in sorting out the beer festival and is one of the regulars who is dam keen on giving people a wide choice of beers and lagers to supple. Well the last one went down a storm. If you missed it well I hope you will look forward to the next one in a few months time.

As for the past couple of comments well all I can say is this. having th the same regulars in here is great. i can walk in with family or friends and feel relaxed and talk to everyone. as for the comments about those who should not be allowed in other pubs well I'm against that as every person I know in the Wheatsheaf I could class as a friend.

This site is for people looking for a pub- well if your reading this why don't you just give the Wheatsheaf a chance. Come in one day, say your new here and ask questions because every person in that pub will tell you you would be more than welcome. How many other pubs could you walk into and not end up having a great chat with someone you had never known before??

I wish I could be there more but I can't. I'm married and have children but one things is for sure it's my local and I'm proud of it. The bar staff are great. The punters are really relaxed and friendly and for one there is never any trouble in the pub! So you can relax!

Thanks Strongbow Kid for your kind comments on my thoughts on the Wheatsheaf.

Look for those who are looking to pop into the Wheatsheaf for a quick drink or a new local. Give it a try, ask to speak to Martin or even say to the locals hey I'm new here, I know people will be happy to say hello.

I've just come back from having a couple of pints - I WOULD HAVE STAYED LONGER BUT THE WIFE WOULD HIT THE ROOF!

By the way if your looking to have a party - Martin and the team will be more than happy to offer you help here so have a word.

As I said before pop in, say hello or just enjoy the banter in the bar. You will find people talking football, rugby, politics and a whole range of subjects that you will be able to offer you view point on.
cheers,
John (The Dog)
