Doggetts Coat and Badge, Southwark

A friend and I have visited this pub on most Sunday evenings for a couple of years or more. But in recent times the beer prices have risen so much that we have only used it when they've had Doombar on, because it was cheaper than the rest. However, that beer's price has risen from �3.25 to �3.60 since our last visit a fortnight ago, so we won't be going back. Lots of other people have also stopped using the place due to the price increases. Until some months ago there was a large blackboard listing the prices of all the beers, and the prices were also on the handpumps. No longer, of course... And the Nicholsons pub on the other side of the bridge, The Blackfriar, was still selling Doombar this evening (Sunday) for �2.85 a pint; a mere 75p difference!
