The Bridge House Tavern, Penge

This pub has got great potential but it never really seem to get there! It's a Great building and a good location but the landlords seem to come and go and overall the pub looks old and tired. What a shame. It never seems to be full - just a handful of sad drinkers.

The Alexandra, Penge

Nice Pub with a Traditional Decor. Well maintained and kept. But you tend to get quite few local "hard men" in there, boxers, etc. Which is not a bad thing.
Overall a good local pub!
Regards to the previous poster: I wouldn't say the decor is "run down" or even dated, it's just a traditional no-nonsense pub. As I said, clean & tidy. Nice cosy atmosphere.
