The Cheshire Cheese, Temple

A friend and I popped in for a quick lunchtime pint a couple of days ago and eventually decided to stay for lunch.

The menu offers simple pub fare, but we were very pleasantly surprised by the quality, portion size and value. More importantly perhaps, the ales – Doombar, Bonmbardier and Tribute on the day we went – were all well kept and the staff were cheerful and helpful.

It's a bit off the beaten track, but well worth seeking out.
