The Globe, Leicester

A nice pub. But that's all now. It used to be a really great pub, doing brilliant pub food and a good place for a lazy sunday lunch and afternoon.

Now the food is below average (various chefs left I think) and the bar staff change far more often than they use to. Still the same random mix of "alternative" folk and suits on a friday night, everyone gets along fine with a nice atmosphere.

Haven't been back there for a while though. A good pub but used to be a lot better.

The Glasshouse Stores, Piccadilly Circus

A nice pub generally, never overly crowded or rowdy. The only reason we sought it out originally was because it is one of the few in central london to have a bar billiards table. (please tell me if you know of any others). The table was very dodgy, and wobbled a lot. In need of a good clean and a bit of a refurb, but it worked....until recently.

It's been out of order about a month now. :-( No signs that anyone is going to bother to fix it. A shame to lose another table of an increasingly rare game :-( Please fix the table someone!!
