The Royal Oak, Holmbury St Mary

Nice looking pub & location. Nice fire inside greeted us which was a good job as the landlord didn't. He was a miserable sod who quite clearly was not overjoyed for walkers to turn up or for dogs despite the supposedly dog friendly tag. Either way we got served reasonably quickly and veg soup was nice although �4 for a soup and some bread seemed steep to me but maybe I should get out more ? There is another pub up the road which we'll try next time.
