The Ship and Whale, Rotherhithe

Couldnt agree more with the below. This is the best pub in the area by a country mile. The lesser-spotted Oranjeboom on tap, big spacious dining area, Chesterfield sofa, great staff and amazing food all combine to make this place a winner. The steaks are supreme and even better when you consider that you'd need to spend triple the amount for an equivalent sirloin over the water at Gaucho grill (yes they are that good). There was a period of flux when the previous Manager, Aiden left the place but they have recovered well and going as strong as ever!!
