The Ship, Exeter

Love the history of this place. we spent quite a lot of time in this boozer at the weekend and it was pretty good, agreed the decor is a bit modern for an 'old' pub. Most of the staff very cool, agree about the large barman or whatever he is - started throwing his weight around for no good reason at one point in the evening. Beer ok, overall not bad at all.

The Prospect Inn, Exeter

Was in there on a Monday lunchtime and the food was excellent. Best Steak & Ale pie I have had in years and the wifes Quiche was great apparently. Friendly staff as well. Keep it up guys.

The Horns, Watford

The only pub in Watford High Street I will drink in. Not the prettiest boozer inside, but its full of adults so 99% of the time the atmosphere is very good. But the best thing about this pub is the music. The landlord gets in some really cracking bands, the last ones I saw were The Jamm (tribute) who were excellent. Staff are pretty friendly to, can't tell you about the ales as I'm a lager lout, but they have London Pride. Well worth a visit.
