The Rose Inn, Plumstead

An unholy amount of alcopops in stock. Pool table, juke box, TV, Sunday Roasts. Overly-fragrant Gents due to windows being painted shut but soap provided at least. One of the sorriest excuses for a beer ‘garden’ I have even seen; an unkempt strip of weathered patio that was home for knackered plastic garden furniture, an array of filthy and forlorn household cleaning items and discarded white goods.

Who'd a Thought it, Plumstead

Friendly Landlord, lively atmosphere but filthy, ripped furnishings and an undercurrent of mortal danger.

The Foresters Arms, Welling

Lagers on tap are Fosters, Kronenbourg & San Miguel, wide selection of spirits, dartboard, small TV's that usually have muted sport showing, jukebox that usually has a patron regularly feeding it £1 coins, garden, children allowed (supervised) until 7pm. Welcoming and friendly atmosphere, by far the best pub I’ve found in the area to date (and I’ve visited over a dozen).
