Im out my depth with the reviews already added. this is a proper conneiseurs drinking hole. loads of ales on tap which my taste buds find hard to accept but Ive nver had a bad night in this place. if you like your obscure ales and foreign imported lager this is your place. try the Duvall its 8% proof. the first is like drinking 2 stroke oil but the seconds lot of fun!!! Nice pub in the summer in their garden. like everyone you wonder how the neighbours put up with it but if you were a neighbour you'd be in their.

The Royal Oak, Ipswich

i went in here before it was done up a few years ago. There was a kid, no older that nine hanging off the bar by his jaw. That showed how tough its was. Ive been in tough pubs but his hardness took the biscuit. since its had a paint job, new blinds and a projector screen the atmospheres changed. You still get the odd muppet wanting to take on the world and its brother but its idiots like this that spoil it. Ignore them have a drink and enjoy it. Its a nice pub.

The Heathlands, Ipswich

I travel all the way from Felixstowe to have a pint here, although it never is just a pint! Barstaff are really welcoming, always a good mixture of age groups and always a good atmosphere.
