The Andover Arms, Hammersmith

I was shocked to see my favourite pub has received the cliched gastro treatment. I walked across the stark bare wooden floor in shock, sat on one of the hard wooden chairs, and stared at the sterile walls listening to the echo around me. It was too much to bear so I left without bothering to have a drink. Seems almost every pub in this area offers the exact same experience so turning this former great pub into a gastro is quite disappointing. This is a real shame. I need a new local. Are there any pubs in this area that offer comfortable seating in a relaxed friendly community environment? Looking at the recommendations at the top of this page most seem to be gastro pubs.
