The Junction Tavern, Kentish Town

I really like this pub/tardis. Great food and great ales. Why do so many ale drinkers on this site disparage great gastropubs? Don't they realise how much good this type of pub has done for the ale industry, promoting British produce, local sourcing and traditional food & drink. Or is it a case of snobbery?

The Flask, Highgate

I really like this pub but it does get daft busy in the summer. Visited yesterday - lovely food, nice waitresses, real fire, a gale outside & sweet sweet mulled wine. Must be one of London's best. Let's hope it doesn't change.

The Melton Mowbray, Holborn

The Melton hosted the final of the Sainsbury's Beer Competition last week. The beers all had to be produced specially for the competition (I believe) and the winner, Dr Okells IPA, from Okell's Brewery in the Isle of Man is our current guest ale. Not sure how much of this you'll find on handpull around town so it's worth popping in for a pint while it's available.
