The Triple Crown Inn, Richmond

Comfortably the worst pub in Richmond, and has been for some years. Dark, scruffy and always empty, apart from the people you wished were not in there with you. Avoid.

Star of Bethnal Green, Bethnal Green

Popped in for a pint while flat hunting in the area. The bar was busy, but not over so, with mostly young people eating as well as drinking. There were plenty f women there which is always a good sign. The atmosphere was good, lively but not noisy, and the bar staff very friendly, there were five of them behind the small bar which tells you how busy it gets. I may never go back to Bethnal Green but if I do then this is the pub that I'll go to.

The Old Moot House, Kingston upon Thames

This pub has been through many changes and many names over the years. In its current incarnation there is lots of live music and, more to my taste, an Indian menu. My Vegetable Jalfrezi and Nan was delicious, hot and cheap (£7).

Beers are a little overlooked and while I was disappointed to see the far too common Doombar there was also Naked Ladies and so I had a nice pint of that.
