The Queen Inn, Winchester

I had sunday lunch here last weekend, and it was so delicious I will be going back again very soon.

The pub had a lovely atmosphere, and the garden was a delight, full of people enjoying a BBQ, which is cooked by the landlord on sunny Sundays.

This pub changed hands a year ago - and the transformation is wonderful. It's clean, bright and fresh. With vibrant bar staff only too willing to make your occasion run smoothly.

On the day of my visit it was particularly busy - but even then, with only a miniscule wait our food arrived, delicious, piping hot and delivered with a smile.
