The Anglers, Teddington

We ventured into this pub as it was a nice day for a change and we decided to get some food as well(salads). There was a long wait to get served, but once we had given our order and received our drinks, we thought we would be eating within 15-20 minutes. How wrong we were. We waited for 45 minutes before I approached the bar to enquire about our order only to have to wait for another 15 minutes to be able to speak to one of the bar staff. As it seemed our meal would never arrive, we asked for our money back. The manager NEVER APOLOGISED for the fact that we had waited for far too long and just dumped the refund into my hand and then he walked away.
The bar is severely understaffed and I felt very sorry for the young staff who were having a difficult time dealing with the number of people waiting to be served. If the management are happy with expanding this pub to allow for a large number of patrons, then they should have the good sense to work out how many staff they need to employ to run The Anglers efficiently.
