The Alwyne Castle, Islington

This could be a really nice pub with excellent outdoor space and a huge menu...but it's one of the worst pubs I have been to in London.
I have a been a few times to this pub and wish I could say good things about it but the rudeness of the staff in itself is enough to deter me from ever returning. It really is quite shocking (the worst I have received in London) - it seemed too much trouble for them just to give us a menu and being served wine in anything but tumblers was out of the question. What's more, on every single occasion I have attempted to eat there it seems that not a single thing is left on the menu.

My advice is to pop down the road to the Canonbury where the service is good, staff turnover is lower and the garden is better.

Such a shame about this one.
