I like good food and good beer. Lager is not on the agenda. By good food, I mean well prepared, quality ingredients, not the latest microwave trash that many pub chains serve at rock bottom prices. I only drink cask ales, and I am always on the look out for the gems produced by some of the smaller, less known breweries.

It's a bit run down compared to most modern popular pubs, but the beer is first class, and the food is excellent. I understand that things are going to change in the near future, and the pub will be extensively refurbished, but I hope it keeps its character. Its a must if you like quality food and beer, and prices are very reasonable. See Fydles, and Wapping beers web sites to find out what they serve.

Pentre Arms Hotel, Llandysul
Pub in a beautiful location, but only one real ale on tap when I visited, which was served a bit on the cold side. Had a sandwich snack, which was very poor quality and overpriced.
