The Anglers, Teddington

As an irregular visitor to this place I have to say that the average age of the bar staff looks below that required to legally buy a pint. I don't want to put 'da youth' down but there's no effort made to greet and welcome. Service is slow and bizarrely on this visit no London Pride was available for the best part of the evening. Not much cop for a Fullers pub! I ordered some grub which was the standard pub grub offerings and not bad. But again the service was poor. In the end I had to slope off and get my own cutlery. After finishing, the dishes sat on my table for around an hour before I had to get up and dump them on the bar myself. Similarly there was no effort to collect the empty glasses off the table.

All in all this place will probably always do well due to its delightful riverside location and huge beer garden. But the service really needs a Richard and Judy style makeover.
