Rose & Crown, Tupsley

Any pub which someone drives by to go to the Cock of Tupsley has serious problems, given how poor that pub is. Only reason to visit is to watch football in the 'public' bar. You can do much better in Hereford.

My local, but we rarely go there. OK if you like big estate pubs full of kids. Good outside play area, and the beer is OK, but the food makes Wetherspoons seem good!

The Crown and Anchor, Lugwardine

Great little pub with eccentric lanlord and friendly barmaid. The garden is lovely in summer, and in winter the big fire is welcoming. Good ale, and the food is superb. We always just eat from the sandwich menu, recommend the BLT in Ciabatta. Also has a wide selection of mains, so you can choose the 'restaurant' experience too.
