The Angel, Stoke by Nayland

Had dinner bed and breakfast here. Very much food oriented with a small back bar for non-eaters. Good menu well executed and comfortable enough room (en-suite, TV etc) reasonable breakfast choice but would have liked to see some fruit. Three real ales Brakspeares, Woodfordes Wherry and a Ringwood brew. I'd go again to eat but would prefer more of a drinkers' pub if I were just out for a pint.

Ye Olde Coach and Horses Inn, Melton

After walking past this place to drink elsewhere for nigh on ten years, under the previous owners, I started going back there about once a week when Deben Inns took over. As the previous comment states it's been tastefully re-furbished with a youngish, friendly team of bar staff. Adnams is the house ale but there's usually one or two guest beers alongside. Food oriented, particularly early evenings, but not so much so that you can't just enjoy a drink. I'm pleased that this pub has recovered from it's previous dire mismanagement.
