The Mother Shipton, Portsmouth

A small, local pub on the outskirts of Portsmouth (Stamshaw town), offering a good seating area, tv for footy fans. Friendly staff at bar. This pub does not offer car parking, pool tables, function room, disabled access, kareoke, or accomodation as far as i could see but does offer food (maybe sunday roast/britishpub grub) and the loos are clean (do disabled access) or outside seating available.

The Denmark Arms, East Ham

Enjoyed a few drinks in here and a couple of games of pool with friends last Summer. Very large pub with televisions, games room and dining area. A very local, mans pub and probably popular for families too. Definately worth a visit. Not drunk here in the evening. Service and bar staff friendly. Environment and tables clean. Toilets a bit dirty/umkempt.

The Central, Upton Park

Visited Newham for the first time and walked into Upton Park to see what was open in the evening. We found this pub called the central near the tube station. Had great music and we all got up and danced until quite late. Managed to get a seat and got chatting to a few others. Nice atmosphere but a bit rowdy.
