The Royal George, Euston

Slightly tired, worn and unpleasent - that's applies to both the pub and the landlady! Bit harsh, but it's polite compared to the cold treatment my friends and I got when we visited. Since being taken over by the new management, it has lost all the charm that used to exist. You used to be able to look past the fragrent toilets, old paint and worn interior because it had character. Now, the character has gone and the rest remains the same.

"We show sport" they proclaim...hardly! Reluctantly flicked over to the Champions League semi-final two minutes before kick-off while the whole pub wanted the build up!

Sorry if I seem rather put out, but that is how we were treated. Food is quite good value...but that's it. Quick drink after work? Perhaps,but there are better pubs locally.
